LOCATION

The long stretch of
coast between Pointe de Grave on the Gironde estuary and Bayonne is called La
Côté d'Argent - the Silver Coast. It is virtually one vast beach of shifting
sand dunes. In the middle the straight coastline suddenly forms a lagoon. Famous
for its natural beauty, fine beaches and oysters, the Bassin d'Arcachon is a
protected area, perfect for holidaymakers, sailing enthusiasts and
oyster-eaters. The area is especially flat and caters well for cyclists with
some very good and safe cycle tracks for all members of the family.
La
Teste de Buch is nestled between
the Atlantic Ocean, the Basin d’Arcachon, Lake Cazaux and the Landes forest,
and is recognised internationally by the famous Dune de Pyla made up of some 60 million tonnes of sand, over 100m high
and extending for nearly 3km.

Space and nature, its
Dune du Pyla, its ocean ranges, its Lake Cazaux, its oyster port. All of this
can be experienced from being based in this apartment in La Teste de Buch.
